The main minerals are coal, zinc, copper, lead, bauxite, cottage cheese, limestone, khadiya clay, slate, ceramic, asbestos etc. and precious metals such as gold, sapphire etc. The tourism industry is a key business in Kashmir, which has huge revenue for the state.
