The Process of Civil Services Examination:

UPSC conducts the Civil Services Exams in different three phases –

  1. A preliminary examination consisting of two objective-type papers (general studies and aptitude test),
  2. Main examination consisting of nine papers of conventional (essay) type followed by a personality test (interview).

The whole procedure from the announcement of the UPSC preliminary examination to declaration of the last results takes almost one year

Eligibility criteria for the UPSC Civil Services Exams:

The all interested candidates who appearing in UPSC Exams 2018 must have a degree from a any recognized university incorporated by an Act of Central OR State Legislature in India OR Other educational colleges and institution established by Parliament Act OR announced to be deemed university under section-3 of the UGCA), 1956 or must have an equivalent degree.

UPSC Exams 2018: Civil Services Exam Application form

The new application form for IAS exam 2018 will be available on its official websites. The all interested and eligible applicants have to apply online from its official website.  The UPSC exams applications will be accepted only through online method. Application Fees

The general category candidates will have to pay Rs 100/ for IAS 2018 examination (except female/SC/ST/PH candidates). The mod of paying application fee or examination fee has been explained bellow.

Paying Application Fee Offline Mode

  • Eligible Candidates can easily pay the Application Fees by cash at any branch of SBI.
  • Print out the system generated Pay-in-slip during the Part -II Registration.
  • Applicant can easily deposit the fee at the counter of SBI Branch.

Paying Application Fee Online Mode

The candidates can easily pay the Application Fees by online mode by using net banking facility of SBI/ State Bank of Patiala /State Bank of Travancore / State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/Sate Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.
